Each node is led by an expert in the subject discipline, supported by an advisory group of other practitioners of that discipline, and subject to selection and approval under a regular NASA Research Announcement.

The fractured floor of Dantu Crater on Ceres is seen in this image from NASA's Dawn spacecraft taken on Dec. 21, 2015. Similar fractures are seen in Tycho, one of the youngest large craters on Earth's moon.
