Limbed robot RoboSimian was developed at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The robot is seen with Brett Kennedy, supervisor of the JPL Robotic Vehicles and Manipulators Group, and Chuck Bergh, a senior engineer in JPL's Robotic Hardware Systems Group.

The RoboSimian team is led by JPL. Stanford University, Palo Alto, Calif., collaborated on the development of the robot's unique hands.
