PIA07892: Layered Trough Walls
NASA's Mars Global Surveyor shows layers of bedrock exposed in the walls on both sides of an east-west-trending trough in the Memnonia/Mangala Valles region. Large boulders released from these rocky trough walls are found on the slopes and on the trough.
