This Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) Mars Orbiter Camera (MOC) image shows detailed layered rock features, mantled by fine dust, in the Sulci Gordii ridged region east of Olympus Mons. The scene is located near 21.9N, 124.3W. The picture covers an area about 3 km (1.9 mi) across, and is illuminated by sunlight from the left.
