25 October 2004 This Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) Mars Orbiter Camera (MOC) image shows old, light-toned, large ripples on a smoothly mantled surface in the Sinus Sabaeus region, south of Schiaparelli Basin. This image is located near 6.4°S, 341.8°W. The image covers an area about 3 km (1.9 mi) wide. Sunlight illuminates the scene from the upper left.
