This Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) Mars Orbiter Camera (MOC) image shows a light-toned butte composed of layered, sedimentary rock in the Iani Chaos region of Mars. It is located near 1.6S, 18.2W. The picture covers an area about 3 km (1.9 mi) wide, and is illuminated by sunlight from the left.
