19 May 2004 This Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) Mars Orbiter Camera (MOC) image shows a small meteor impact crater, about 90 meters (~295 feet) in diameter, with a short, dark wind streak on its down-wind side. The crater is located atop south polar layered materials near 80.2°S, 210.4°W. The March 2004, early autumn picture covers an area about 3 km (1.9 mi) across and is illuminated by sunlight from the upper left.
