This Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) Mars Orbiter Camera (MOC) narrow angle picture shows light-toned, sedimentary rock outcrops forming the walls of a dark-topped mesa in Capri Chasma. Capri Chasma is at the east end of the vast Valles Marineris trough system. This image is located near 12.8S, 48.1W. This view covers an area 3 km (1.9 mi) wide and is illuminated by sunlight from the lower left.
