2 March 2004 This Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) Mars Orbiter Camera (MOC) narrow angle picture shows light-toned, sedimentary rock outcrops forming the walls of a dark-topped mesa in Capri Chasma. Capri Chasma is at the east end of the vast Valles Marineris trough system. This image is located near 12.8°S, 48.1°W. This view covers an area 3 km (1.9 mi) wide and is illuminated by sunlight from the lower left.
