This Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) Mars Orbiter Camera (MOC) image shows craters and dark wind streaks on a plain on the floor of northeastern Schiaparelli Basin. The streaks indicate that dominant winds blow from the northeast (upper right). The image is located near 1.5S, 339.8W. Sunlight illuminates the scene from the lower left; the image covers an area 3 km (1.9 mi) wide.
