This Sojourner image, taken on Sol 70, shows rocks and rover-disturbed soil. Cleats on Sojourner's left front wheel are seen at lower left. The large rock in the distance is "Yogi." Much of Yogi visible in this image cannot be seen from the perspective of the Pathfinder lander.

Mars Pathfinder is the second in NASA's Discovery program of low-cost spacecraft with highly focused science goals. The Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, CA, developed and manages the Mars Pathfinder mission for NASA's Office of Space Science, Washington, D.C. JPL is a division of the California Institute of Technology (Caltech).
